Rikert wtf

I'm here looking for something to play that isn't Pokemon Showdown or a GBA Rom, and so I stumble on Newgrounds entirely by chance, click on Games, and right there, game #1 on the brand-spankin' new games list, is this glorious sequel of supreme unwithering awesomeness of a game.

What am I going to do, close my browser and get off the Internets? Heck no.

Brilliant game, fantastic mechanics, this review is a waste of everyone's time because it's intruding on everyone's game time, good job Matt here's five moar stahs.

Immensely fun and original game! It's fun to play other players' bots, though I wish there were more dynamic ways to both record bot patterns and fight as a human. Guess we'll leave that for part 2? Fingers are crossed.

Great little gem of a game right here. Died laughing when I killed Spidey.

I found a glitch where if you press Esc, you restart the level, then automatically go to the meteor drop about five seconds later. Got my NY hat bonus by accident this way. :P

Awesome sequel.

I upgraded everything on the Armor Games main website, but the game was so good I had to come back for more when I saw it on Newgrounds. I'm glad I did; when you get all the upgrades, i.e. medals on Newgrounds, you get[UPGRADE THIS REVIEW TO FIND OUT]

Underappreciated.

This game was really fun. It was on the easy side but it had all the necessary things to pull off fun. Keep it up!

Addictive as nuts!

Man, I was just testing the game out to see what it's about, and I ended up spending an hour of my life. Crazy addictive game here. Cuboy's so full of hot air it's not even not funny.

At some point I decided to stop moving to see what would happen, and that's when I realized I was dizzy and had to stop; the screen kept sliding upward in my vision. :P

Best one yet.

Gotta say, this is one addictive game. I've played the others in the series and this one by far is the most fluid and action-packed entry in the series. I liked that the difficulty level ramped up in the later parts, forcing me to restrategize, although once I found the sweet spot combination (all melee units + invincible spell) the game got extremely easy and repetitive, and all that was left to do for fun was collect the awards, which weren't all that difficult.

I also think there were some poor choices in design. I mean, why would you wait until nearly the end of the game to allow the last two heroes to be unlocked? They aren't so cheap that Lord Balaal couldn't handle them in one stroke. I dunno, it's huge waste of two very awesome characters. Conversely, there were some units that I absolutely never used, and the titan units were quite unrewarding.

Anyway, great fun overall, this one's a real time eater. Looking forward to the next installment!

Also, goblin madness is redarted.

Addictive and fun.

I have to say, this is an excellent throwback to the greater, more challenging days of video games. I found the game highly addictive, with good controls and challenging mechanisms. The graphics and sound are fine as they are, and I like that all the minor things like saving are taken care of--I the player just have to PLAY, and little more. Very simple and sleek.

I also have to say that that was one of THE greatest boss battles EVER. Mainstream gaming needs more bosses like these, who actually make you WANT to come back and fight instead of quitting in frustration. I liked every single move the last boss dished out, and it was hugely satisfying to figure them out and subsequently navigate that black hole's ass like a real space cowboy.

I think the weapons and upgrades were fine and dandy, though sometimes I wondered why the damage percentages were so high, and I noticed there is no real reference for what "9" damage or "4.2" speed supposedly represent. I just picked up the better weapons when they were available and went my merry way. I also think the difficulty spiked in a few places, though it's hard to say why now that I can go back and pillage each stage with ease. Finally, there was a bug in which after losing to the last boss, the game occasionally froze, disallowing me from returning to the world map. I also think you should make the option to skip the opening credits since they are relatively long.

Great game overall, fun and challenging with a wicked last boss. SHMUP on!

FANTASTIC.

What a superb game. Seriously. I think this is probably the best Mario game I've ever played, period. The storyline and cutscenes were great, the toads were hilarious, and best of all, the levels were FUN AS FREAKING HELL. Nintendo should hire you on their development staff for their next 2D Mario venture; you've got the skills to put even those professionals to shame.

The level designer is an ingenious idea, but I never really got into it. Perhaps if it directly contributed to how I did on the regular levels (say I could earn extra lives or something by completing one of my own custom levels), then I might be more interested. But the fact that there is one is a plus by itself. On the downside, the actual process of placing tiles and items is a bit painstaking, and I also noticed that whenever I quit the level designer I would get sent back tot he main menu, even though I entered it through the main game. I lost about twenty extra lives this way. T_T

There's also some control issues, though most of them are minor; diving can't be undone in mid-air (thus making the idea of aerial combat impossible), and sometimes Mario would start running without me double-tapping forward. Spinning also has a random delay on it, so overall playing with Mario doesn't feel quite as smooth as in his official games.

That said, I don't think I've ever had more fun with a 2D platformer--especially on Newgrounds! :D (Step over FPA 2.) This is a wonderful fan-made game and I'd love to play it over again. It gets all my fives and moar. MOAR. I WANT MOAR!

Nothing else to say except WHERE IN THE MUSHROOM KINGDOM ARE YOSHI AND LUIGI!?
